IASTM Therapy in Denton
What is IASTM?
Scar tissue and fascial adhesions can cause decreased flexibility, range of motion restrictions and even chronic muscle tension.
IASTM is designed to break up adhesions and tension within your body with the goal of helping new, healthy tissue form. During an IASTM session, we’ll use a metal instrument directly on your skin with lotion to help identify restrictions, and then apply moderate pressure to the underlying tissue. The goal is to trigger an inflammatory healing response. This will stimulate the production of new collagen and proper, functional, pain-free healing.
IASTM sessions are often used in conjunction with other modalities, including chiropractic adjustments, myofascial release and even dry needling. At the end of the day, we believe in providing treatment that helps you get well and stay well for the long haul.
Our team members have taken special certification courses to ensure they practice the best possible techniques during your session!
